Pool resurfacing- white plaster vs Signature Matrix Wet Edge

I believe our polished WetEdge feels every bit as smooth as the plaster pools I’ve been in, atleast new. There’s a lot of blue glass in this color which helps a lot. I’ve never thought our pool was green.

Pool resurfacing- white plaster vs Signature Matrix Wet Edge

Heres sky blue treasure, same line as Grigio. Also couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend. Make sure to find a WetEdge certified installer.

    New Plaster

I would think you’d be fine to brush that around so it dissolves fully into the water.

    New Plaster

Based on the logo on that bucket, they may be doing the orenda startup (google it), which involves adding a bunch of calcium and their SC1000 scale and metal control solution. It’s not a bad process, and shares some principals with the bicarb startup, but achieved in a different way. Keep a...

Pool is happy at 7.9 pH…do I fight it?

If you download poolmath you can pretty easily play with numbers and see what your CSI results in - just tap the CSI box and it’ll open a screen where you can see how different levels impact CSI. It’s helpful to play out some what ifs. Like over the winter when water was really cold I was able...

Pool is happy at 7.9 pH…do I fight it?

Yeah, you can check my pool math logs for CH. Last check at 450. CH raises CSI. High pH raises CSI. Higher temperature raises CSI. So high CH, pH, and Temp can equal high CSI. I added calcium in the winter to keep CSI neutral. It’ll creep back down. At pH 7.8, CH 450, temp 95 my CSI is still...

Pool is happy at 7.9 pH…do I fight it?

Pool is still new / getting ready for our first season (plastered in November). Over the winter pH has been super stable at around 7.9 (color between 7.8 and 8.2 on the K1000 and a repeatable 7.9 on a digital meter). If I was going off of the K1000 alone, about half the time I’d say the pH was...

Thoughts on gutter down spout tie-in? Would you be happy with this?

The teal blue (“green”) is designated for sewer pipe. Since some is white and some is that color I bet that’s what they had in stock. It’s Probably all the same schedule and not because it was cheaper….just what was available. I know last time I picked up 4” pipe all they had was sewer green in...

Who has opened their own pool cleaning business?

Around here service costs can easily run north of $300/mo. I keep trying to convince my FIL to start one but he won’t charge that much. He’s still charging a few people he services ~$100/mo. I keep thinking we could do something that send premeasured chemicals based on weekly water testing or...

    Marble coping - stain removal

@Cena_sea once you try the magic erasers you’ll never go back. It’s what our countertop installers recommended, actually.
