Agree. However when I try that myself everything I vacuum shoots right back into the pool through the return jets. Don’t you have that same problem too?

Hey everyone! Been awhile since I last asked a question. Sorry if this one is sort of basic but here it goes: For the most part I rely on my robot to clean the pool. Then occasionally I pull out the hose and pole to manually vacuum the debris it misses (mostly fine sediment, dirt, dead algae)...

Thanks will do. I just wasn’t sure if I’m supposed to maintain the same recommended level from PoolMath that I’ve been using all summer even during the off season too? I know algae stops growing after temperatures drop down to a certain point so didn’t know if that changes the FC level...

Following up on this as we’re getting closer to winter. At what point do you recommend I stop pouring liquid chlorine into the water? The FC level is still dropping but at a much slower rate than before because of less activity. With temperatures already dropping down now we may not even swim...

Yep I have PoolMath. That’s how I’ve been posting the results here the last few days. I’ll take your advice (thank you!) however I did want to point out that I have vinyl not fiberglass like you mentioned (or doesn’t matter?)

So here’s the latest. Everything is still holding pretty well. And visually it looks fantastic (the latest attached photo is a world of difference from before!) However CYA and TA still remain high. Is it worth draining some of the water (how much?) and refilling to lower the CYA and/or pouring...
