I am testing with the recomended test kits..I guess anything could have happened.. So I guess Ill keep brushing and shock?

Havent been in the pool (or tested levels) for weeks. Headed down for a dip and noticed discoloration on my dark mosaic vinyl liner. Got pool brush out and ran it across the bottom. Green cloud comes up. Immediately brushed entire pool (getting ready to shock with liquid bleach) took pool sample...

Will try to let it settle tonight..can see halfway to deep end..Install will be ASAP after measurements taken( 3 weeks or so for them to make new liner) Trying to avoid any type of excess maintenance..will check in the morning and hope it settles..thanks

Uncovered my pool 6 days ago, water was brown/green. Been running filter 24/7 and shocking with 10% liquid chlorine. Can see shallow end ,struggling with deep end. Im having vinyl liner replaced. Install guy says HE JUST NEEDS TO SEE DEEP END to take measurements.Im trying to do MINIMUM...

My pool is surrounded by trees and as I said pollen is kicking. With a winter safety cover, no light is getting in. I feel the minute I take the cover off, the maintenance starts. It will be another month easily before pool temp is swimable. I dont think my SWG works until at least 60 degrees...

Temps are warming up here in North Carolina. Tree pollen is kicking in. I think if I keep cover on I wont have to worry about running filter, algae, adding chemicals cleaning strainers of pollen,etc,etc. Water is still way to cold to swim for awhile. Any thoughts as to a good time to uncover?

To add Im assuming its a PVC plumbing leak due to it holding at return level,about a foot lower than normal. I have been adding water every couple of weeks for the past two or so Summers thinking it was evaporation, of course it never went a foot low but maybe it was a small leak that got bigger??

Hi Guys Inground vinyl liner pool. Covered it back in October. Do not drain in winter (North Carolina),just run filter if it goes below 32. Usually have to drain water via pool pump if we get alot of rain. Happened to notice in December the level was a little lower than normal(via the skimmer)...

Just to be clear,when I say tree pollen,I mean the stuff that falls like snow from the trees and covers cars. This can easily be mistaken for Mustard algae.The tree pollen this time of year is microscopic and I cant imagine it could even be seen in a pool.There are a couple threads on this forum...

Isnt tree pollen what you can mistake for Mustard algae?If so that season (at least in NC) is long gone. It literally covers cars turning them yellow,hence the mistake for mustard algae.I am still having a problem getting rid of a mild case of PERSISTENT algae.I do the slam method,next day small...
