Havent been in the pool (or tested levels) for weeks. Headed down for a dip and noticed discoloration
on my dark mosaic vinyl liner. Got pool brush out and ran it across the bottom. Green cloud comes up.
Immediately brushed entire pool (getting ready to shock with liquid bleach) took pool sample with
following readings. CYA 40 , TA60, Ph 7.6, FC 14!!! Thats almost shock level (16) right there. How
can this be? more importantly, What to do? 25000 gallon SWG inground pool. BTW water was clear
prior to brushing. Had to run poolbrush to determine algae because new liner is so dark. Thanks

So today it's back to 14. A week (or 3) ago the power went out to the SWG, or there was a flow error, or a timer issue, or it could have been 100 things and you spent time below minimum. The problem corrected itself and the SWG is overproducting to have you at 14 now. It doing so is likely the sole reason you don't have a swamp.

SWGs make us all complacent at times but you still have to be paying attention.

Brushing is still important too as said above.
