    Polaris 9350

I would agree with this. It doesn't do stairs or my pool wall as well as I had hoped, but no issues with drains at all. My biggest issue is the cord getting tangled up pretty quickly after starting it.

Sand. Stop me if this is a bad idea

We have a cool deck around our pool, then a few feet of mulch btwn the deck and the fence. We built a decent sized pergola by the pool in the mulch, mainly to block the new house's view behind us, but also to have a nice shaded place to sit. I plan to put a couple of loungers or hammock chairs...

Any Pentair Pump Pro's out there?

I talked to someone who said they had a lot of experience with these, and there was a few contradictory statements to what I am reading here. He said they do a lot of Superflow, not many Intelliflow. Both are good pumps, but he said the superflo control board can be operated free-standing...

    Outdoor TV help please

I go buy refurb TVs on Amazon or something like that. 1/2 the cost of a new one. You can get some good deals on them. I expect to last only 2-3 years, then replace with another one. You will buy 12-14 of them for the price of 1 outdoor TV.

    Pool Name

Does anyone have a name for your backyard/pool area?

    Polaris 9350

I have a 9450, last summer was my first go-round with it. It does a pretty good job for the most part. I have a custom shaped tile pool with 90 degree corners all around the pool btwn the floor and walls, and it doesn't get into that corner well. It also doesn't climb tile walls well. It...

Any Pentair Pump Pro's out there?

I appreciate the info. I understand what you are saying about the easy touch and me manually turning pump on/off. I need to find someone in the area who knows the easy touch system. The local company that put it in does not install them much....most people in KS dont go to the expense of an...

Any Pentair Pump Pro's out there?

Today, I have a Pentair single speed pump on an Easy Touch system. I am looking to change out the pump for a Variable speed pump....main reasons is to allow it to run 24/7 (dont have to go turn pump off/on) as well as save on energy costs. Would like to stay with Pentair for a multitude of...

    My newest poolside addition

I would also consider Blaz'n. I narrowed my choice down to Rec Tec and went with the Blaz'n. Very happy.

    Thinking about salt water

A couple of other things I thought of besides the tile/grout... What about rocks/stone around the pool? I have a lot of unsealed boulders/rocks around the pool. Will the corrosive behavior of salt damage those at all? I have a heat pump to heat the pool....any potential issues with that?

    Thinking about salt water

First full season of pool ownership, second season overall....so still a newbie. I have been thinking of switching to salt before next year instead of chlorine. Any issues with going to salt with a tiled/grouted pool?

New pool owner. Pool toys/floats recs?

Lazy Buns are the float of choice at our pool with friends and family. But really any "aqua saddle".

12,000 gallon pool in the middle of Kansas. Cost me about $100.

    Sonos!!!

I did check with Sonos support....which by the way is very fast to respond! They said there is no issues with this. The only issue is using different generations for stereo sound for something like a surround sound system. But everything else should work as expected.

Intellibrite lights take a long time to switch colors

I would agree its normal. I have the same lights. When I change colors, mine go off and come back on....I would say it takes somewhere between 3-10 seconds. I think it depends on what color I am on and what color I am going to.
