Intellibrite lights take a long time to switch colors

Hi - I'm new to the site and am a first time pool owner. I have the Pentair Intellibrite 5g lights, and when I switch from one color to another, the light goes off for about 10 seconds and then finally the other light comes on. Does anyone know if that is normal for these lights? In the color changing modes "Amarican", "Sunset", etc. the lights just change quickly from one to another - so not sure why it takes so long from switching from one to another.

That is completely normal. The controller you have must turn the power to the Intellibrite lights off and on a number of times to program the lights. The lights have several modes of operation, from constant color to light shows. This takes time and is an is normal.

I would agree its normal. I have the same lights. When I change colors, mine go off and come back on....I would say it takes somewhere between 3-10 seconds. I think it depends on what color I am on and what color I am going to.
