I am just talking about tile at the waterline. The spillway will be stacked flagstone and the face will be a split fact stone. They can run the flagstone down to the edge of the water or run the tile along the bottom of the flagstone at the waterline.

Anyone else have an opinion?

My PB asked if we wanted the water line tile to continue under the bottom of the spillway. We will have an attached spa with a 9 foot wide stacked stone spillway. What is most common? I’ve looked at some pics online but not sure what would look best.

What if I want to have flow to the pool and spa at the same time? I understand the traditional spillway mode sends flow to the spa only. I would prefer to have everything circulating together and be able to control the flow of the spillway. How can I accomplish that?

So with the custom spillway mode you can essentially control the level of flow between pool and spa? Do you ever use the full spillway mode? I can’t see ever using that setting.

In your custom spillway mode how much flow do you get at your spillway? Would that be the same as having a pool mode that provides flow to pool and spa? My previous pool did not have a spillway only mode. Just pool and spa and when in pool mode I got flow to pool and spa and spillway.

I plan to talk with them about it but my primary concern is maximizing the benefit of the VS pump which they don't typically install. Want to know the options to best control pool and spa flow considering the spa spillway.

So I don't need to worry about a diverter valve? Just have the spa and pool always recirculating when in pool mode and increase rpms when I want more flow on the spillway? and not configure the plumbing to have a spillway mode

The spa will be raised 18" and will have flagstone step downs. So the water will flow over the edge. I just want to ensure I have good flow out of the spa for effect. Can I simply add a 3 way valve to allow adjustments to the flow into the spa when it is recirculating with the pool?
