My PB asked if we wanted the water line tile to continue under the bottom of the spillway. We will have an attached spa with a 9 foot wide stacked stone spillway. What is most common? I’ve looked at some pics online but not sure what would look best.

My spillway does have the same tile under the spillway. All of miner is some form of travertine. The stacked stone is the same travertine as my coping except with a hand chipped edge. My waterline tile is a small 1"x2" travertine of a darker mixed color.
My PB gave me the option of having stacked stone on my spillway or the 4" tiles we had around the water line. I went with all tile and I'm quite happy with it. I'll try to post up a pic later when I have access.
I have not had a lot of luck with the tile spillway on my pool. Just about every two/three years I have had to remove the tiles after one or more started popping off. Not really sure it is due to rough kids or the pool settling.
I am just talking about tile at the waterline. The spillway will be stacked flagstone and the face will be a split fact stone. They can run the flagstone down to the edge of the water or run the tile along the bottom of the flagstone at the waterline.
