Lol skimmer

So I took a water sample and a picture to the pool store and it’s just pollen and each day it’s looking better I did buy a slimmer to help and it’s helped a lot

Own a 18 ft Coleman pool in the horrible heat if Texas lol chemicals and paper filters drove my pockets crazy last year and have just recently bought a sand filter and I’m clueless so I’m here to lurk for answers and help

Okay so I just switched to a sand filter and I did not backwash after installing it ( wasn’t aware I should until later) and now I keep getting a foamy brown sludge on the water surface I can over fill the pool and get it off and water is crystal clear but an hour or so after they are done...
