OK, I've installed a new Pentair IntelliFlo VS pump & a new Pentair Quad DE filter along with new piping on the pad. The pump primes just fine in around 15-20 sec. and I can see water rushing in from the suction line. After it primes there's a small quarter sized bubble in the top of the lid...

Thanks for the reply's. Yes I understand the psi shouldn't be high. The side of the gauge said start at 20 & clean at 30, so I guess I expected it to be around 20 at start up. Hence my confusion. ;-)

Filter is up to 5-6 psi now after about an hour & a half of running.

I just installed a new Quad DE 60 filter (this is my first DE filter). I slowly added the 12 scopes of DE per the manual, but my presser gauge only went up to 2-3 psi. Does it take awhile for the DE to coat the cartridges? Or is mt gauge bad? Or did I not add enough DE? This is the scope I used...

Hi everyone, Thanks for the replies. Maybe I didn't use my terms correctly. This is a booster pressure side pump. It pushes water to the sweep & catches the stuff in a bag, doesn't suck up the water. Here are the manuals I'm using for reference. So knowing that, is my setup still incorrect...
