Why not just have the tile sit a bit higher than the plaster/aquabright so that the epoxy doesn't pool over to the tile? Would that solve the issue?

I'm not completely understanding the issue. But I know you're an installer, so I trust your perspective. But what if, instead of just tiling a border, we were to tile an entire seat? Would we still have an issue where it meets the Aquabright?

What do you mean when you say "don't play all that nicely"? Are you talking about seat tile, waterline tile, or both?
