DMX Controlled Pool Lights

Hello All,

I am an architainment lighting installer and I have a client who had us install an LED color changing landscape lighting system at his residence. The control protocol that our system uses is called DMX. Think control protocol for rock concert lighting. He has requested that the lights inside his pool be updated to work with our system. My company doesn't do pool light installation, but I would at least like to be able to recommend a product to him that he could look into that we could integrate with. I have done a search online for this kind of thing and first found Savi Note Pool Lights, which would be great if the pool wasn't existing with niches already built in. The only DMX capable lights that Savi sells are 1.5" nicheless. His niches are much larger, sorry I don't know the exact size. Then I found the perfect solution from Astral Pool LumiPlus PAR56 2.0 Projector RGB DMX, but there I'm not sure I could get them in my area and it likes like they don't have any that are UL rated. What I am looking for is a DMX capable pool light from a REPUTABLE pool light manufacturer that will fit in the existing niche. It's fine if they need an external driver box for the DMX capability to work. Another possibility: is there any way to put Savi Note 1.5" lights in the existing niche? Some kind of niche adapter bracket? Thanks in advance for your responses.

Hello and welcome to TFP! I noticed your post had been sitting quiet for a while, probably for a couple reason: The season is quite slow with less activity; perhaps no one actually has personal experience with the LED (DMX) conversion you are trying to provide to your client. You'll also notice that we were forced to remove the hyperlinks to the websites you inserted. That's simply because as a first-time poster, our rules prohibit inserting links to cut-down on spam and other website problems. If this is still an issue for you and/or your client, you are welcome to reply to this thread in hopes that someone might find the information useful or applicable.

Have a nice day!

CCEI has exactly what you're looking for. CCEI is big in Europe but fairly new to North America.

I ordered 7 of these lights for my pool and spa. Should be ready to try them out in the next couple of months.

UL Listed, etc.

They also list some DMX 10" niche lights in the PDF, but I haven't seen them myself.
