Repair or replace pool filter

Hi everyone.

I recently hired a new pool service. They took a look at my equipment and advised that I need new filter cartridges, a replacement manifold and a new air tube.
They think I am better off buying a whole new unit instead of doing the repair work.
I’m not sure of my model number, but I think it’s a 20-year-old hayward c5000 or c5020 on my 32000 gallon pool.

thanks!

It’s hard to tell from the pictures but what’s wrong with the manifold. Cartridges look ok to just dirty.
Just want to make sure they aren’t just trying to sell you stuff you don’t need 😀

You can price and compare, I bought my 4030 off amazon 6 years ago.

The pieces missing on the top manifold are allowing unfiltered water to return to the pool so this will have to be replaced. The air relief tube is easy replaced, Not sure why there is a bolt in it??
If the bottom manifold is craked then this should also be replaced.
