Okay. I guess I was mistaken on who told me...it was back in 18'. I was just going to ask if I should run DE through it after I filter it out. So thank you both for your help. Shouldn't have gotten in a hurry...I already know better!:rolleyes:

Robarb Super Blue Clarifier is what I used. My mistake on that...I thought any would work. I almost ran the DE through first.

I've been doing the SLAM process for a couple weeks. Been brushing the pool daily and did a blind vacuum Monday. Feel like I have got most of the leaves and such out. No algae or green color when I sweep. Just a very cloudy blue pool. Been keeping it at all the right levels for the most part...

Yeah no more Floc or clarifer used here. Follow TFP methods all the way. So should I deep clean the filter first and then try the DE? Not going to lie....I want to do whatever will get us swimming the fastest.

We cleaned and changed the sand out summer before last. What is the recommendation on that?

Yes I have done that and have passed the last three times. This morning was the last time I preformed it and I didn't lose any at all. Wasn't aware that they were not being kept. I will look at that also.

I actually started the slam before May 15th but then got sick and couldn't keep up with it for about five days so it was blue but cloudy but went green in those 5 days. So really I've been slamming for what seems like FOREVER!!

I feel like my pool is never going to clear up!!! I started the SLAM process May 15th. Tested my ph...it was at 7.2. My CYA was very low in the beginning but I've since got it up to 50. I've added liquid chlorine to slam level according to my CYA level. So for the last 3 weeks I've been keeping...

I have bleach (plain 10%) and MA on hand but wasn't sure about CYA. I so don't want my pool to turn green or cloudy. The TFP way of taking care of my pool has been so easy and want to stay on top of every little thing. Thank you for your help!
