New pool / patio build Houston (Cypress),

Looks really nice. Have you used that grill yet?

Whoops, had a typo...actually put it in last YEAR.

Yes, I use it all the time, great grill, plus I never run out of propane...lol..

Looks very nice. I like how you used the same bricks from the house on your kitchen.

Thanks,

Actually the brick was leftover from the house build. We had enough for the grill so I saved a few hundred bucks...plus of course it matches!

Stone starting to go up around the fireplace as well as the benches starting to take shape.

Haven't had a chance to update due to that pesky work, but things are coming along.

FP is 90% done. Just some final stones up top and the seat in front of the FP. A mantle and then we're done. The stone is really nice but the color won't show till a good wash.

Started the ceiling wood work...

It's annoying when work gets in the way, isn't it?!

Looking good - the stone will definitely show it's color when it's been washed - all the cutting and chiseling creates a lot of dust.

Really like the ceiling wood work - that's going to look great!

You are going to have an amazing outdoor space once things are done! You have a great lot size to work with...we must be living in the wrong part of Cypress...with our smaller backyard.

Hubby is now talking about building a fireplace on the end of our patio addition....I swear this project just keeps costing more $$. Thanks for sharing your build process. FP looks great and beautiful stone work.

Finished wrapping the posts with Cedar. Man does it smell good. They did a really good job with the detailing IMO. Hopefully they can get the mantle up, stain, and install the speakers/canned lights tomorrow.

Also have to do the "star burst pattern" on the front and back of the openings.

Vegas kid what is the "starburst pattern" that they are putting on your patio ends? Your patio looks beautiful, those guys are doing an amazing job. We ended up using a builder that Mr. PB uses and when asked about the opening we said hardy plank siding. We didn't want the open gable look because it was a little too rustic for us from what we've seen in pictures. Now that the hardy siding is up, it really is a bit of an eyesore. But we wanted to somehow close the ends and didn't know any other options and these were the only two that were presented to us.

Got the rest up along with the mantle today.

Just the stone work in front of the FP remaining.
