New pool / patio build Houston (Cypress),

Ditto, I'll take one of those too! Looks like a pavilion in a National Park. Your pool may get just as much traffic as a N.P.

We have an area to build a 10' x 20' cover but don't foresee doing so as soon as I had hoped.

Hopefully the temps are rising along with your anticipation level this spring.

So they're almost done with the cover and hope to have the pool ready for plaster in the next few days.

Just have speakers, fans, sconces, gas logs, and the tv to put up. I also made a porch swing which I'll have to mount as well.

Here's a few before the stain and with all the dust still on the stone.

Now with the stain applied

And here are some from today with a quick wash. The colors are a bit gloomy due to the overcast. I think the mantle turned out quite nice.

Great looking setup. Who did you use for the outdoor fireplace? Can you share the cost for the fireplace installed?

Our PB did it all. Grand Isle Custom Pools. Excellent, excellent, to this point. Not one single issue.

Cost is a bit skewed due to it being part of the pool scope. We did get other bids for similar setup between $30-35K. Cheaper if you go with the pool of course.....

Sweet! Can't wait to see it full! Post fill pictures too!

I woke up every few hours in the night to check mine, even though I knew there was no way it would fill overnight...!

You've got it done at the perfect time and will have the whole season to enjoy it! The wife and I were talking the other day wondering why we'd decided to do ours so that it would be finished at the end of summer...?! Nope, we didn't have a good answer. I guess we got excited!

Congrats! It really does look like John has done a Grand job once again! (sorry - terrible joke - I just couldn't stop myself).

yeah, we're excited for sure. I'll post pics when I get to the house.

John has been amazing throughout the entire build. Not one issue to speak of. Couldn't have picked a better guy.

On the other hand, the other builder we were considering is continuing to have quality problems with at least 4 families that we know of. Guess we picked the right guy. Price isn't everything.

Got the plaster done yesterday, and started filling immediately....

Pool looks green but that's because of the initial fill. It will clear up. Test kit also on its way. PB said the one he gives me is a piece of ****..lol@honesty.

Looking forward to landscaping and the safety fence.

Looks great, congrats!!
Did John use the words Mountain Dew by any chance to describe the pool color? It was actually a pretty good analogy for our water!!

The only good thing about that test kit is I find it much easier to read the Ph than the one in the TF-100.
I don't know what it is it's just easier to distinguish the colors for some reason.

What kind of safety fence are you getting? We love ours (it encloses our covered patio).
