New pool / patio build Houston (Cypress),

That fireplace is beautiful! Can't wait to see this build finished! Was that Superman that was helping with the work crew?

btw, where'd you get that big rubber duckie?

i updated the previous post to show the actual FP picture.

Giant rubber duckie is from Al Gore's interwebz. Apparently there was a giant yellow duck that's been all over the world and they call this "ART"

The radiant barrier was a surprise.

Also they started framing the area for the fireplace.

Here's a pic to show the size of the cover....it's awesome.

Also had a chance to finally isolate my sprinkler system. I started with 12 zones and will probably end up with 7 or 8 when it's all said and done. There was no way I was payijng $1800+ to get my sprinklers redone. I plan on doing it myself for the low cost of $200. The current piping is quite interesting.....I"ll make it better:D

Cover looks awesome!

Yes, my sprinkler plumbing was 'interesting' as well (it was flowing the wrong way - figure that one out?! - there must have been a loop somewhere under the decking). I'm afraid I caved and paid someone to do it but it did cost me a lot of money (>S2k...!)

It's all coming together really nicely - it's going to be spectacular when it's all done!

Looking good Vegas kid. Mind if I ask who your patio builder is? It was nice that he added the radiant barrier. Did he charge extra for it?

Patio cover is also PB (Grand Isle). We wanted it all done at the same time and were very happy to find out that GI also does custom homes. This was a huge factor is deciding to go with GI.

Another good builder is Matt's Custom Decks. I've talked to few people who used him and were very pleased. He also partners with many builders.

Got the canned lights, ceiling fan mounts, wired, and ready to go. Will also have some speakers flush mounted.

They also started to put the sand down for the decking. One interesting thing was the 12" difference between the deck height and existing lawn near the back of the building. Elevations were set off the patio so we didn't have to have any steps. Builder will grade so it looks seamless, but interesting none-the-less.
