Hayward Power-Flo - how old?

Hello everybody - bought a new house and have an above-ground pool. I'm trying to figure out how old this pump is. I have gone outside a couple times where it has had really low-flow, but the filter pressure seems fine. Once I turn it off and back on, the flow also seems fine.

I have found this: Hayward Serial Numbers and Date Codes - Further Reading

But my serial number does not match these formats at all. Is it older than 2004? Should I just replace it?

Thank you!

Welcome to TFP!!!

Look for a label on the pump. That is the label on the motor. The pump label should be somewhere on the pump basket housing.

A 1HP Power-FLO Matrix is likely model# SP5610 or SP1592TL or SP1592...see what you can find.

You might also post a wider picture of the pump...

Thank you! I will look some more tomorrow and post a wider picture.

Could you help me understand what the difference is between the pump and the motor? This is the thing connected to the skimmer basket and then to the filter, so if this isn't the pump, what exactly is? Or will this housing have two different "labels", one for the "motor" and one for the "pump"?

The motor is Century made 088 day of 2013.

The pump is Hayward and the model number and serial number are on a different sticker.

The pump will have a manufacturing date after the motor, but usually within about six months, so the pump was probably made in 2013.

Thank you! I took a look and found the other model number/serial sticker. It looks to me like the pump was made in April of 2013 - does that seem right?

It's strange that the first four numbers are 2121 - 21 does not appear to be any plant code identified by any of the quick reference guides.
