Hi all, I just took over caring for my own pool so I’m very new to this. Long story short, my pool has never had any staining before, but since our pool maintenance company drained and refilled our pool we are getting iron/copper/some type of staining. They are popping up like crazy. Can someone help me identify what type of stains these are and how to treat them? Side note, they also installed a PoolRx about a year ago, which I’ve read can lead to staining, so I removed it today, however, the staining didn’t start until after the drain and refill about 2 months ago. I seriously appreciate any guidance with how to navigate this. Pictures of the spots.

Why did they drain? What did they do when the drained?
Those look like iron stains. Get a bunch of vitamin C pills, not chewable, hard pills you swallow, put them in a sock and rub on the spots. let us know what happens.

did a chem wash
Ugh. Likely an acid wash. Acid wash removes some of the plaster. *MAY* be that the acid wash took some of the plaster on thin areas exposing rebar ties that are rusting. Try the vitamin c and we'll go from there. When was the plaster last replaced.
