Harley's Pool

We talking anywhere between 15-25ft depending on where I put it along the wall.
I don't see it being an issue.
Should I use 1 1/2inch pipe or 2inch?
1.5 inch is probably plenty.
was looking at the manual of the jacuzzi pump/filter and the whole warranty information is about pentair.
Weird because Jacuzzi has been rebranded Hayward for quite some time, maybe this new one changed teams. Maybe they're all changing teams. 🤷‍♂️

Make sure you put valves under the return and skimmer so you can close them when you need to work on the equipment. Also make sure to put unions on both sides of the pump and filter to make it easier to remove and replace.
Oh okay. I'm trying to plan it all out.

Mainly trying to figure out all the connections and how to get it from the Hayward skimmer to pump and all those connections

I vote for leaving the equipment there especially if you tend to do things like mess with the skimmer from outside the pool to vac or whatever. Otherwise you may find yourself having to run back and forth a bit.

Sounds good! I'm gonna leave it there. Did a little shopping at Lowe's to find the right adapters from my skimmer and return. Just need to plan the rest out and install it.

Should I run the pipes to the ground? Like for bracing etc.

You don’t have to but you certainly don’t want them pulling on the pool wall & you also don’t want to create a ladder effect making them climeable to children/pets. I like the straight down then along the ground to the equipment route if possible.
If you can’t then you can make a brace with a piece of pvc and a tee cut in half.
With a soft sided pool you also don’t want it to be “too braced” as the pool wall does need to move so you’ll need to use your best judgment as you go. I would say definitely pvc between pump & filter and then determine if standard pool hoses or flex pvc would be better for other connections.

Planning out the plumbing and I'm a little confused on how to plumb the QS1200. Not sure which fitting to use and all. Anyone done this before?
I used the intex barbed fitting adapters- (1st ones i posted)
And screwed those into the swcg and attached a regular above ground pool hose. The intex swg has male connections so you need an intex female end collar to attach to it. Some have been able to rob an intex collar & washer from old hoses and slip the collar over a 1.5” pvc box adapter fitting then glue their pvc to that.

Some have needed to smooth things down with a file or sand paper and some have had no issues at all.

So I found this: Intex SWG - Further Reading

And I'm hoping this works

You can certainly do it this way although you risk boogering up the intex threads & cracking the housing. The way I mentioned avoids this possibility due to using the intex collar. You’re essentially making a fake intex hose end with the box adapter. To get it to seat properly it may need to be shaved down a little to properly seat.
Some have also tried using a cut off intex hose end and then gluing their pvc to that - not sure what size that would be. Ymmv.
I believe @kellyfair did this method- I believe she used flex pvc but its the same procedure.
looking for the thread with pics now….

Seems a lot of the pictures expired on photobucket
All he did was sand the raised letters off the box adapter then slip the intex ring on and proceed to glue his pvc pipe/other fittings from there. Most folks getting rid of the intex hoses don’t mind cutting them apart to steal the collar & reusing the little washer/gasket.
Here’s a video - this guy’s fittings had ears he had to shave off also

This helps a ton haha I'm a very visual learner when it comes to this kind of stuff.

That's fairly easy and I have the hose that came with the swg that has two of the Intex adapters on it.

I had just so happened to be in the Lowe's parking lot when you sent this. So grabbed one fast to test along with the 2inch PVC adapter that I originally came here for lol

All planned out and will probably have to go in the store to find the correct parts since I know the employees will give me random stuff. The PVC section is so disorganized...

Anyways, when instering this adapter into my filter, should I just use Teflon tape?

I would get unions for the filter. Threaded part is sealed by the o-rings. What you are doing can crack the MPV if not done correctly.
