Best Corrosion / Chemical Resistant Check Valve

I wish I could go SWG, but due to the limestone coping and natural rock that my pool had, SWG doesnt appear to be an option.
The low salinity needed to operate a SWCG won't deteriorate your materials. Other factors, such as pH and poor quality materials will have a significant impact.

Well, now i'm confused and not sure who to trust.
Each contractor bidding on my project have talked me out of SWG
You're getting bad advice from your contractors, whether well intentioned or not. There are tens of thousands of SWCG owners on this forum. I would wager 99.9% love their SWCG. I know I do.

They've told me that if my pool was a salt water pool that splashes would erode my coping over time (faster than currently non-SWG) and the waterfall stone would get destroyed over time too.
This is false. Whether you have a SWCG or not, your water still has salt in it.

I agree that a $4000+ heater is worth protecting over the convenience of a Chlorinator.
If you think a tab feeder is convenient, a SWCG will amaze you. I can't overstate the convenience.

Historically my Pool Maintenance Company used only liquid CL. I've owned this home for 20+ years
Please test your salt with a proper kit, such as a K-1766. I think you'll be surprised how much salt is in your water right now.

having to drain the pool becase CYA level is too high.
So now, i'm faced with having to drain 20K+ gallons of water and refill with fresh to start over.
With a SWCG, you'll likely never have to drain your pool.

My new Pool Guy also uses tabs because of cost and has told me to expect to drain pool every few years for CYA reasons.
SWCG is also by far the cheapest way to chlorinate.

If I can avoid the drain option with in a reasonable cost (or ideally savings) that would be most desirable.
If you want to avoid draining/refilling, want incredible convenience, and save a lot of money, get a SWCG. I can't recommend it enough, especially for our Texas climate.

Is there a difference between Chemical Resistant and Corrosion Resistant when it comes to Check Valves?

I ended up with Pentair 263042 check valves on my order and according to Pentair's website (www.pentair.com/en-us/pool-spa/products/valves/diverter-check-valves.html) it states that these are "chemical-resistant"? Would they be save to use with a CMP Chlorinator installation?

So, is the recommendation to nix the Chlorinator and check valve?
YES. All of our best experts have made the recommendation.

I would never put a puck chlorinator on a pool with a heater...check valve or not. Best way to destroy a heater.

Get an SWG.

It helps to recognize it for what it is, which is a sacrificial part. The only question is how long it takes to take one for the team.

^^^^ that reminds me of the joke that NASA spent $1m back in the day designing a pen that worked in zero gravity for the space missions. When faced with the same dilemma, Russia used a pencil.

Floaters are $14 and accomplish the same goal with none of the downside.
