"NOT pool in signature"
Good morning all, one of my winter pools having cell issues. Just to note this is a 4 year old gunnite 35k all pentair equipment, vsp, ETI 400 heater, large cartridge filter with the EasyTouch screenlogic setup. Took over this pool in July '22, chemistry was not existent at the time and the ic60 was calcified like a brick so didn't waste any time and replaced. This pool runs 24/7/365 so the cell has 2.5 years on it. In August I noticed a chlorine issue, inspected the cell and to my dismay the cell was calcified, I cleaned (first time) it with the typical MA ratio and back in service it went. All was good till last week I noticed the "cell" light blinking but didn't have the time to take things apart chlorine tested lower then the norm but didn'tmake much of it.. Also to note the pool gets vacuumed weekly with my "Riptide" and there's lots of calcium flakes in the water, filter bag gets pretty heavy at times. Pool uses a good amount of MA weekly to keep PH at bay. This pool always had high CH, not sure why and can't remember if I've tested the sink tap on this one so I'll put that in my scheduled to do.... I see I can manipulate a lower CSI by having the CYA elevated so going forward......
THIS:
Not educated enough on the ic60 so I need guidance on the pecking order to diagnose hoping I can save it. The screenlogic has an alert " chlorinator communications lost" . Can someone give me the nitty-gritty on diagnosing this problem and get it sorted out. Thanks in advance, Allan.
