CYA dot on test kit still showing when full

Ok. So I have tablets bought from Costco. They have been in the water the last few days are are still undissolved. But then I read in pool Wiki that tablets already have stabilizer.

Trichlor tablets add stablizer slowly as they dissolve. You need top reaise your CYA up to at least 30 PPM ASAP.

But I have just added stabilizer in a sock according to pool math.

How much dry stabilizer did you add in a sock?

Yes, but it says do it slowly and also the Chlorine tablets will be adding to it. So thought better to check every few hours as it says if its too much then much harder than the other way
You are being way too tentative in getting the chemicals into your pool that it needs. Which is why you again have a green pool.

Ok. But for the sock it made sense as it says to watch till it dissolves. The Chlorine I understand better now so will start pouring.

Btw do you recommend any particular typ? On YouTube the chap says Liquid chlorinating (HACA?) Not to use Cal hydro or calcium or sodium dichloro because the minerals leave stains in hard water. In Houston we seem to have hard water

Where does "it" say that?

Get the needed amount of CYA in socks dissolving in the water. It takes a while for solid stabilizer to dissolve. You don't need to watch it.

Type of liquid chlorine?

Pool Essentials Liquid Chlorine in your Walmart if they stock it.

"The more often you can test and add FC, the faster your SLAM will proceed. However, you should not test and add more often than every two hours." So dont I have to keep checking? Somewhere says better to get low than high.
Thanks for the Walmart tip. Will get tomorrow morning. Already getting dark!

We were talking about adding stabilizer.

That is about checking your FC level and adding chlorine during the SLAM Proce4ss.

Somewhere says better to get low than high.

I have no idea what you are referring to.
