Hello TPF! I have a few questions about winterizing my above ground vinyl lined pool.
1. My cya is around 30 and pool math said slam was about 107 oz. Does that sound right for closing? It seems low. Slam said 11pm and I was at 4.5 at the time.
2. I passed the oclt last night and plan to keep fc up to slam level until I drain to below skimmer (I will drain tomorrow) I will vacuum and clean pool before drain too. I can’t actually cover until 24 hours after the cleaning/drain. Will this pose a problem with Chlorine loss and closing? I am using a full winter cover with a leaf net on top of it.
3. Am I winterizing properly? I live in an area of frigid winters.
Thank you for your replies and help!

Thanks. I read though the information and am doing everything it says. My next question is…at what chlorine level should my pool be at when closing? Right now it is at 9ppm an I want to drain today and cover in the morning. I will lose chlorine between now and then. I’m thinking it will be down to between 5-6 by sunset. Should I increase chlorine now before I drain, or should I be okay until morning? Thanks!!!😊
