Leaking valve?

Got a leak in this today and have no idea what it does or what it’s called to get a replacement part? Thanks for any and all help in advance.

It appears to be a Nature 2 Express mineral cartridge. Get rid of it.

It’s sold as a mineral “sanitizer”. In reality they use copper and silver to suppress algae growth. It’s marketed to allow you use use less chlorine. They’re junk and can lead to copper staining issues. Just properly sanitize your pool with an actual sanitizer like oh say Chlorine.

Well good thing it’s twenty years old and my pool builder never mentioned it once. I thought it was another check valve . She gone!
