I’ve been using the Taylor K-2006 kit over the past year and have gotten pretty comfortable with it.
It was about time to need a refill on all of the supplies and decided to go with a TF-Pro instead. I wanted to support the people in this community and thought long-term it might be a more economical option.
Everything arrived great.
The one difficulty I’m having is reading the yellow chlorine level. In the K-2006 kit, the red chlorine level is easy to read. But in the TF-Pro, the yellows between 2-5 are almost indistinguishable to me.
Am I doing something wrong? I’m trying to hold it up against a white backdrop in good lighting.
The first time I used it, I checked it against my old kit and I was off by like 3ppm. The old kit read 2ppm and the new yellow kit looked like 5ppm.
Maybe the variation doesn’t matter as much and you just want it to be in the yellow somewhere?
Thanks for any insight from those who regularly use this kit.
Chris
