Hi guys,
It is the first time ever that my pool needs a bit more salt this season. When we opened we had to have the SWG off in order to do this, but we added a lot of salt. Like 10 bags of 20 kg. Right now I just need to add one bag. Do I need to turn off my SWG? Or can I just add salt like that?

And if I do need to turn it off, would be ok to add the salt at a certain time of the day?

Hope I can get some help from you!

Add anytime. If you have a bottom drain you can turn it off and avoid high salt in the swcg. Otherwise I'd shut it off for a few hours. Can you see real time salt levels?

Sorry my ignorance. The bottom drain is the drain in the middle of pool? I can close it with the multi valve. Is that what you mean?

Alternatively, yea I could turn off the SWG. A few hours would suffice? No I can’t see real-time salt levels.

Also called a main drain. For my pool I can turn it off with a valve and my 2 skimmers will still work. Not sure about the multiport. Just shut off the swcg for a few hours it doesn't take long for 1 bag of salt to mix.

Yes I have the same setup for the drain. I will just shut off the SWG.
