Newbie: Time to fix this green pool

Perhaps. Looks like some other silt or debris as well. Good you were able to grab it.
I've been running the robot periodically throughout the day. I feel like it's helping get a lot of the finer things out of the water.

your signature and profile info don't list any pool info
See, that's the problem. I don't know much about our pool setup. Next time I'm over there and not rushed I'll try to figure out model #s etc. I clearly have no idea.

Is this all I do?
You inserted a link to your test logs which we can see. But in your app settings you should see an option to share test logs to TFP. Then you don't even have to insert a link. We click on your avatar and see the logs.

I'm still here! I've been busy but finding ways to keep the FC up. Just wanted to post a current progress pic... it is coming along! We are headed out of town for an entire week (starting Saturday) and obviously won't be able to monitor the pool. We are planning to ask around to see if we can just have a friend stop by and dump in 2 gals per day. I don't know if that's overkill or not, but I guess I'd rather err on the side of too much that not enough. Otherwise, I guess our next option is using pucks (?).

CYA is about 40, so have been targeting FC of 16. How do I know when the water is clear enough? As you can see in pics it's pretty clear in shallow end, in the deep end it's still a bit cloudy. (PS. the plaster discoloration/staining is how we received the pool, planning to redo it anyway, but just wanted to point that out that it's not anything particular in the pool). We've been doing this SLAM for 3 weeks and I guess I'm getting eager to get past this. :) (I haven't measured the overnight Chlorine loss because we don't live there and it's nearly impossible with getting small kids to bed).

Any thoughts or insights are always appreciated!

OK! I'm back from vacay. We had a friend dump in 1-2 gal of Cl a day and came back to a clearer pool than when we left. (Woohoo!).
I'm wondering if I can stop SLAM? Yes, I am aware of the exit criteria... I confirmed that:
  • CC is <= .5
  • Water is clear (can now see drain clearly, and all the flaws in the plaster) with no visible algae
The one that is hard for me to validate is the overnight chlorine loss since we don't actually live there - with kid routines I'm unable to measure after the sun goes down and before it comes up. I attached some pics of current state.

Question 1.
I asked this earlier, I'm just curious what caused that plaster discoloration? There are some interesting patterns. (It was like this when we bought the house and we plan to redo it)

Question 2.
Let's say I'm all done SLAMing, do I just run another complete test panel and aim to get everything in the recommended zones? Obviously I've been fixating on Cl only for the last month.

As always, thank you for the help!
