I have an in-ground pool that has a built in cover. I like to keep the cover on during the week, but have found sometimes that the water level is low and I don't realize it because of the cover.
What suggestions would folks have for having some sort of automation to monitor the pool level? I tried to use Amazon.com but had trouble getting accurate measurements.

All of the other pool water level options I've seen require the item to hang into the pool which won't work with my built in cover.

Check Kona Labs LevelSmart. Sensor mounts in the slimmer throat. Relatively easy install. Not inexpensive. Have installed a few for customers that travel a lot.
I have my fill valve on a sprinkler timer. It goes on about 20 minutes once a week in the Summer. Works well enough for me, and my fill line would be under a cover if I had one.
