I have a Goldline Aqua Logic controller which I believe is made by Hayward. The transformer feeding the panel was hot and giving a burning smell so I replaced it. I noticed a relay on the board was bad as well so I replaced it. I still have no power to the salt cell according to my display panel. At this point with it being 17 years old I'm assuming replacing it with an upgraded new unit would be the wisest choice. It looks like the replacement from Hayward is the Omni PL upgrade kit. My concern is first the board looks almost identical to my current non functioning one, second is it looks like the only enhancement made in 17 years is being able to connect to wifi and use their app. I replaced my main pump with a Century vs pump a couple of years ago. Unfortunately I can only change the speed on the pump itself. The only thing I would like to be able to control with an app would be that pump. I don't think the $1500 plus tax for the Omni PL is worth the upgrade being I still won't be able to control the pump speed unless I replace the Century vs pump with one of Haywards for hundreds more. Any ideas for those of you that are more experienced with what is currently available? My pool has two remote pads to control everything wirelessly via a channel one or two system (NOT wifi) with the control box having a stubby antenna on it, an attached spa that both use one pump(the vs), two electric switching valves by Jandy, infinity edge requiring a pump, a pump for the spa jets, a nat gas heater, a spa light, and two pool lights by Hayward(one is out and will stay out for 1k to replace it). So three pumps, three lights, two valves, and a heater to control. Oh and of course it is a salt water pool with a year old salt cell. Any recommendations would be appreciated before I more forward. I'm currently filtering fine and just adding liquid chlorine to keep the pool open and useable.
