I personally like to buy directly from Betta. They are very responsive. Here's a link to 5% off which gets it close.Going to buy the new SE plug in one. Is the extended warranty worth it on these?
I see Amazon sells them as well and can be delivered tomorrow for my area + $30 coupon. Reviews aren't that great tho...are these worth the cost?
Thanks!View attachment 561227View attachment 561229
Just do it… lolAggghhhhh. You’re killing me smalls.
I am really going to have to buy one of these.
No brighter than the green blinking lights on the unit. My outlet is behind my grill, so I have to go outdoors to see if it turned green. Looks like a 3.5 hour is wait. But if it's sunny, it seems to never stop. The green LED on the Plus power brick is SO dang bright at night. This is definitely getting the electrical tape treatment.
My top step is at 3.75" currently and has no issues. 3.5" is probably getting close to minimum. You can always use the extensions and have it avoid. You just need to brush anything away. If you can get a deal on the Plus, the charging is well worth it. You can get an extra 5% off your best price with this link: I can get you a discount on Betta Solar-Powered Automatic Pool SkimmerI recently came across the Betta on Instagram and it seemed like it was too good to be true, but after finding this monster thread, I feel like it's worth testing it out.
I live in South Florida, so don't think I need the dual charging of the Plus model but may need the shallow water safeguard. I have an 8' x 6' Sun deck in the corner of my pool, depth is normally around 3 1/2".
How will the SE and SE Plus models deal with the sundeck? I'd obviously like to spend as little as possible and get the SE, but want to make sure it will actually work.
Thanks. I can raise the water level a little to 3.75". Do you think I would need the extra charging of the Plus down here in south florida? Tempted to get the SE and use their 30 day trial at the minute. My top step is at 3.75" currently and has no issues. 3.5" is probably getting close to minimum. Thanks again. Ordered the SE from Amazon (used but sold by Betta) with the same 1 year warranty, 30 day trial period. Will purchase the 3 year warranty as well once it arrives. Looking forward to not having to deal with it anymore! Fingers crossed. If you have no trees, probably not. It will run until at least midnight on sunny days. It's the rainstorms/clouds when stuff blows into the pool and you want the thing running. I have oak trees and 60% shade, so charging is very helpful.
So that’s what those things are called. I have a pile of them in one corner of my yard. I do not remember that being so crazy last year (first year for us).Holy Catman! The catkins are sure falling with these high winds! With 2 Bettas running, both baskets fill up in a couple hours! That's with a couple of full nets of scooping!
I take it out of the pool while running Dolphin and would like it to keep charging. If it's sunny, just leave it in pool. Instructions say that, but it does seem to charge with switch off. You can also attached a bungee or line to tie it to a sunny corner. Main reason I just bought the SE Plus, my pool is 60-75% shaded, so Betta 2 only runs from about noon to 6 or 7. My SE Plus runs 24-48 hours at a time.
Lol same here. My 50-foot blue oak is taking a dump straight into my pool, and my dual Bettas are doing a pretty good job at keeping up.Holy Catman! The unit 100% charges while the switch is off, despite what the manual says. The instruction say the unit must be on for solar charging. Do you just leave it sitting on the deck with everything turning? Doesn't seem to make much sense.
