I keep meaning to ask you if you ever dust the eggs with any rubs or grill style spices. My current fav is McCormicks Brown Sugar Burboun, but I've lost count of how many flavors I've gone through, including Buffalo wing rub.

Just a little sprinkle turns the eggs up a notch.

Nope just au natural I really don’t like salt because I think it masks the natural flavor but dusting sounds like a fantastic idea

Well you know what time it is. Hosting my grand daughter 13 th birthday and it is a Taylor Swift theme. We will have a bunch of 13 year old girls all over was hoping to make it a pool party but the weather is crappy here so they have completely turned the house upside down hanging up a lot is swifty things ahhh

I found it by accident. I made leftover steak and eggs one morning and had lightly seasoned the steak with some rub like concoction and it tainted the eggs in the pan. One bite and I started dusting eggs on purpose and will never go back.

Had to smoke ribs in a hurry. 275 degrees for 2 hrs they were very bendy probably had a lot of chew however I wrapped in foil for 1 hr at 250 degrees. Looks great

I got some rapid dry aging going on for later.



Rib roast was $6.99 /lb and cheaper than my usual bottom round for roast beef. Woohoo for the upgrade.

Couple smoked tri tips on Easter Sunday. Used Bulldog asian worcestershire as a binder and liberal amount of Cajun rub that a buddy produces. Smoked to 115 degrees and finished off with a sear to 130 degrees.

You know, those massive omelettes are pretty impressive! But if you use bigger eggs, you won't need so many of them...

For size comparison, from left to right, that's a store-bought chicken egg, a slightly larger than average duck egg, and a goose egg.

My city counts chickens, ducks, and geese as fowl, but emus and ostriches are considered livestock, which I'm not allowed to have on my lot.

I had Indian Runners for years. Prolific egg layers and larger than chicken eggs. Didn’t buy eggs for at least 8 years and they were super rich and fresh. Man I miss my ducks.

They are excellent for weed control, too. And they're just fun to watch. I really like ducks.

For sure. Until you raise them you don’t realize how much personality they have. My girls would follow me around the yard…they darn near turned into dogs behavior wise. They’re great little animals.
