I've searched and can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I have spa spillover mode enabled to run 3x daily. What I would like is for spa mode when Selected to override spillover so that if someone is in the spa, spillover doesn't shut it off and start filling cold pool water in the spa.
Is there a way to do this that I've missed?

A,

I don't have an IntelliCenter, but I doubt it has the ability to do what you want... But it will be interesting to see what our IntelliCenter owners have to say about it..

Thanks,

Jim R.

Easiest way would be to program spillover mode outside the times of normal spa use.
Setting spillover 2x daily for 15 minutes or so should be more than enough to refresh the spa.
You may wish to manually run spillover mode after spa use is done for the day/evening to refresh the spa water.

Nope.

I continue to believe that no one in the IntelliCenter firmware development team actually owns a pool and spa and uses what they develop. Many of these annoyances would be obvious to anyone using the system.

Maybe someday Pentair will act like a technology company and provide a forum for user input.

Maybe @MyAZPool can add this to his list of enhancements that he can pass through his backdoor channels - Spillover mode should not override Spa mode. Spillover mode should only become active when in Pool mode. Or even better provide an option to check if you want Spillover to override Spa mode. Should be easy to implement with a few IF statements in the code.

I currently have spillover scheduled for 530a, 130p and 7p, 15m each. Much of the time I'm going in the spa with the wife in which case I temporarily disable the supply actuator if we will cross a scheduled time.
My wife however works for a school district so she has much more vacation than I and uses the spa at random times. She has zero interest in doing much beyond a "can you turn on the spa for me text" (even though the app is on her phone) 🤣

I had a question about intellicenter and spillover mode that I was hoping you could answer.

I assume spillover mode just flips the 3-way valve to discharge water to the spa jets and that is how you achieve the spa spillover. But the pump doesn't ramp up like it does in spa mode.

So similar to spa mode, is it possible to program the pump to change speed to increase or decrease output when the system automatically enter spillover mode? For instance, if my pool mode RPM setting is lower or higher than what I want my spa to overflow in spillover, can I set the system to automatically change pump output at the same time that spillover mode is enabled?

Yes, you set pump speeds in the IntelliCenter for POOL, SPA, and SPILLOVER modes. They can be different speeds.
