PVC repair for waterfall

Back again for what I think is a minor issue. Video below:

A crack has formed at the elbow of our waterfall. Not a huge deal since we can turn it on/off but trying to figure out a way ahead for repair…
I am thinking of cutting where depicted in the photo to remeasure and refit new PVC. I haven’t gotten into the nitty gritty of what sizes I need yet but going to try to minimize couplings. Any other recommendations on cutting to fix? I do have a pool company coming for a quote but I know how that will be and playing Tetris with PVC doesn’t sound outside the realm of DIY.

The 45 coming out of the wall doesn’t appear to be going into a the 90 at a “right angle” putting stress on that 90 eventually causing a crack.

This is a good point. As it does look like it has been repaired previously. Would a Sch 80 elbow be stronger to (thicker wall) to hold up against the vibration? The original contractor did not do anyone any favors by burying the 45 deg fitting in cement.

There may be stress put on the pipe due to dissimilar thermal expansions.

A telescoping coupling can provide an expansion joint in the pipe.

You will probably need to use a few 90s to get the pipes to fit together without stress.

Maybe a union at the top part and then (5) 90s to make it work.

It might look a little bit goofy, but it will avoid further stress.

The top pipe is probably 1.5" and the bottom pipe is probably 2".

The fittings are marked with the size.

I think this will need to be corrected with another 45 so the plumbing has a 90 perpendicular. As long as the added 45 is level and the vertical pipe is level it will make the rest easier. I would add a union like recommended above.
