Hello everyone,
I'm looking for some help with a 15 y/o Jandy LT 400 heater issue. It's in good condition and has worked fine up until two weeks ago. Now, after a severe rainstorm (no lightning) I'm not getting any lights on any of the boards, no blower...nothing.... Following the Jandy troubleshooting guide (found here: https://www.fwwebb.com/docs/gas/JandyPoolHeaterTroubleshootingGuides.pdf) I took the voltage readings at each step.
240VAC is getting to the heater
Step 1:
measured 28V at red wire of transformer
measured 14V at yellow/white wire of transformer
Checked the fuse, which still had the filament intact, although it was spiral shaped, which I've not seen before.
Step 2:
Measured just under 8V on the red wire at the terminal bar. The documentation suggests looking for shorts in the safety loop, but I'm not entirely sure what that is or how to check it.
Step 3:
Measured very low voltage at the black wire of the terminal bar. Only 2.1V.
I stopped at that step as clearly something is going on after the fuse... I'm replacing that this morning but since it still seems to be intact, not sure what to try next. I'm attaching a bunch of pictures also and would appreciate any help.
Thanks.
