There’s a rip in our pools liner and it’s also come loose from the coping.

The liner was originally installed back in 2008.

Anything I can do as a temp fix before I think about hiring someone to replace the liner?

Yikes. I don't see much hope of repairing a liner that old. With only about a month or so remaining is your season, I'd just leave it and try to keep the water level below that tear. Soon you'll be lowering the water level for winterization and perhaps covering as well. Schedule a replacement next year.

Ok, thanks for the advice!

Will the popped out piece massage back into place ? If so I'd use liner lock to keep it from popping out. A 120 ft roll is about $30 on Amazon and you can do the whole pool in 10 mins. It's just a rubber wedge strip to keep the liner beard firmly in the hook of the track.

Then I'd cover the rip with 4 inch wide gorilla tape for some support. I'd feel better about it over the winter secured and supported.

If you pull on that the rip is only going to get worse
I hear ya. I'm just worried that the corner pulls out further over the winter and then the pool drains that way.

So maybe liner lock up to the pulled out part and then tape the rip ?

Thanks for the advice. I think trying to pull back into the coping might end up making the rip worse. Maybe I'll just try covering both the rip and the space between the top of liner and coping, so nothing is exposed to the elements. Then I will try to have replaced next year.

Get quotes now & get on the list. Do you have any info from the last time so you get the right size? It’s much easier/faster if you can find that info.
