Okay I've read all the threads regarding this. Bought a house last year with inground pool, salt water generated, gas heated and 4 cartridges filters. Everything was great when we took the home over end of July last year. We hire a company water testing which has been in biz for 20 plus years. We got white flakes within 4 weeks ... never got rid of them. We closed the pool and had filtered cleaned and it was caked with this backing soda looking stuff.

Flash forward this year. Opened the pool with another great company and flakes were gone. The old company came in (they forgot to take e off the list) dumped a bunch of stuff mixed dry and dumped it in pool. 24 hours flakes showed up. The new company came a few days later water is good other than a but high in PH and Akilinaity. Looked at filter it was caked, so cleaned that and the salt cell. Didn't turn on heater seemed flakes were gone for a few days. Turned on heater for a bit flakes back a bit. Turned off heater flakes back, cell and everything is clean. I brush the bottom and these flakes just kick right up. I notice with googles the pool is a bit cloudy but pretty clear looking at it from outside rhe pool. These stress me out. The pool company uses Taylor kit. Tru clear is set to 20% coronation. Looks like a bit of calcium is back on one of the many plates after 1 week of cleaning it but not enough for these egg shell type flakes.

Please help.

You have calcium scaling

And need to manage your CSI

Calcium Saturation Index (CSI)
Thanks but calcium level is 250. From taylor testing everything is balanced. It's all in the filter and bottom of pool when I brush up the bottom. How is a stone going to help? Thanks
