Trouble removing blue masking tape from pool edge after acid staining concrete pool surround- any ideas?

Goof off or goo gone. If those don't work, WD-40. Use a plastic scraper.

Thank you! I did see a recommendation for WD 40- but then read I might not have a good result repainting the edge afterwards….unfortunately the tape that did come off took the white paint off with it.
I appreciate your help!

Clean it up real well with denatured alcohol, scuff it, and paint should stick fine.

I wonder if the goof off or goo gone would be a problem with repainting as well ??

Was the blue tape painter's tape?

If yes, that is designed to come off clean.

Did the acid stain product get on the tape and chemically alter the tape and make it stick to the paint?

Why did you choose acid stain?

Are you happy with the results?
