Zero cc and zero Cya?

Time for bed. Last test showed everything is exactly where I want it. Hoping for slightly clearer water in the morn when I retest. Not expecting crystal yet. Thank you so much for the help thus far.

I find it helps to take a photo with the pole and brush in the pool at the same location each day. Helps to see the progress and ensure it doesn’t stall out. :)

Good idea. Fc had dropped to 9.5 this morning. Topped it off and headed to work. There was some progress. I can see the bottom of the deep end now!

Ok. Think I may be done slamming. Water looks good. Gonna do the overnight test tonight. And my CC has been 0 or .5 for the last couple days. Hoping for success.

Question. I have not closed my automatic cover since I started the slam. I’m a concerned there is algae on the water side of the cover that will mess stuff up.

Looks like we’re good. As I let the Fc level drift back to normal, should I turn on my swg yet? Or just wait till it’s closer to normal? Also. Any thoughts on the automatic cover?

Then it will take longer to drift to normal. It might even stay where it's at. :)

I'd close the cover overnight to let the higher FC possibly help clean it. If you close it during the day, the drifting down will slow to a crawl.

I was basically worried about bleaching the cover. I’ll let the Fc drift down and maybe close the cover tonight. Hopefully it won’t rain. I really liked out with rain this week.

I am actually amazed at how well the slam worked. I thought for sure there was another issue.

It always works 😉

Did some water testing now that the chlorine has dropped a bit. Here are my numbers. What should I do first. I did already add another pound of stabilizer because I want it between 30-40.

Chlorine is still coming down from the slam.
Fc 4.5
Cc .5
Ph 7.5
Ch 500
Ta 90
Cya 25-30 I think.

That's all it is a suggestion but as you lower PH periodically it will lower TA too so eventually it will get there. It isn't something that is an immediate pressing need
Hmm. Ok. I was just trying to get the pool as dialed in as possible at the beginning of the season.
