Since the calculation will be the same for all jug sizes (the volume of Sodium Hypochlorite is always the same no matter how much of it you're using) why is there a drop down box to put in the size of your jug? And if there some logic to this, could you please consider adding 320 Oz. to the list as in South Florida most pool store liquid chlorine comes in 2.5 gal jugs. Thanks in advance.

If your amount needed is large enough, it will tell you a 3rd value of 1.3 jugs (etc). If the addition is smaller than the size of the jugs, it will only give you the 2 amounts of ounces and quarts/cups.
So, no. You don't need to. But it's easier to eyeball 1.2 jugs on larger adds than it is to do the math from 153 ounces.
Except for a SLAM, you would never need more than 2.5 gallons in one add to need to know this add was one and a half 2.5 gallon jugs.

It’s also important because not every “jug” of liquid chlorine or bleach is the same. When people used store bought laundry bleach sometimes the jugs were a true gallon, 128 fl oz, and other times they were smaller, 121 fl oz. Sometimes people bought “jugs” that were just 2 quarts or even smaller volumes. So it was designed to be flexible so that a person could customize their additions to what was available in their local stores.

If this information is helpful, then no harm adding 320 oz. standard-size pool store jug...at least in our parts. Then mine could say...add .5 jug to mean 1.25 gal. Seems logical. Or have a drop down box which lets you choose the measure of your jugs (gals. or oz.)
