superflow pump having trouble priming

Hello

There is a superflow pump brand new that was bought that is having trouble priming.

It doesnt pull enough water and no pressure on filter.

o ring lubed on pump basket
no leaks on plumbing above ground
hose water pushed through skimmer

in fact same pump was installed in a different house/plumbing to confirm and still does same thing

deffective pump?

Have you checked the drain plugs for gaskets or tried to lube them?

What is the filter pressure doing during this time?

Can you get a better look into the strainer?

Can you show a video with the pump being turned on and off?

havent lubed the drain plugs but they are intact with gaskets and closed tightly

you can feel the filter fill up with water but the pressure gauge stays at 0 with no water comming out the air relieve..if any very minimal just oozing out

strainer is clean and empty

pump pulls water very slowly..water just oozes in the pump..not with full force nor does the pump fill up as it should..sounds like its struggling

How about a pic of your entire equipment pad? Show all the valves and such.

no valves..no equipment pad.

just a regular timer and the plumbing is very straight forward ( skimmer/drain to pump , to filter , back to pool
no valves in between

Can you check the amperage on both legs to see what you're pulling

I would check the intake union oring, make sure it’s seated properly. You can always throw a plumbers bladder in the skimmer. Usually it will show the air leak immediately.
