Cleaning cartridges on CircuPool CJ2750

Can anyone with the CircuPool CJ2750 filter talk about experience? Mainly interested in how often the cartridge needs to be cleaned and how that process goes - fairly simple?

That's a 270 ft² filter. I'd recommend getting the largest filter possible since it extends your cleaning interval and maximizes flow efficiency.

Cleaning frequency depends on how much debris needs to be filtered from your water. Hairnets in the skimmer baskets help immensely. Cleaning the cartridges is simple and easy. You can do a complete cleaning in less than an hour.

I clean my cartridges once a year. I could go 18 months between cleanings if I wanted.

You should clean the filter cartridges when your filter pressure rises by 25% over the clean filter pressure.

@pjt We have a 17,500 and was told that filter is for 34k so I *think* we should be good - thanks for the recommendation about skimmer hairnets.

@mknauss Thanks for listing the specifics about filter pressure. I guess the filter comes with some kind of measurement gauge for that? We currently have a sand filter and I know when the pressure gauge goes up we are supposed to backwash - which is no longer the case for cartridge.

Just so ya know, the industry uses gallons as their guide when in the real world, your environmental debris specific to your yard will decide how often you need cleanings. Bigger filters of any style need cleaning less often. No more, no less. A smaller filter will get overloaded quickly in the spring and fall in most yards.

Special considerations for going smaller would be a screened enclosure or a wide open property far enough from any trees that the wind can't blow crud hundreds of feet to the pool.

Did you get this filter ? Looking at buying it before installing my SWG because my current filter has seen better days. wanted to see if you had feedback and if its easy to take apart to clean the filter.
