Pentair Lights - Globrite or Microbrite

Microbrites.

Globrites use a proprietary niche and you cannot easily substitute other model lights.

Both don’t have great reliability but Microbrite a bit better then Globrite.

When the Globrites fail, which they will, and reportedly a lot faster than the Microbrite, you have only one option to replace the light because of that special niche Allen mentioned. The Globrite is one of Pentair's oldest light, and one day will be harder to get, and be more expensive. The Microbrite is the newest light from Pentair, and when those fail (all pool lights with build in LEDS will), you will be able to easily replace it with the same, or after market lights which also work with your Pentair automation system. So reliability and ease of replacement are the biggest reasons to go with the Microbrite.

Nice. Yea my PB said although the contract says Globrites, they are going to install Microbrites. For the same reason, too many complaints with Globrites.

If that's the case, have the PB change the contract to state Microbrites will be used.
