Just installed VGreen EVO 1.65 - Green light on but not running

Hey there

I just replaced my single speed Sta-Rite pool pump with the VGreen 165. Installation was easy. Installed new impeller and shaft seal.

I turned on power to the pump and the green light is on but the motor isn't running. Manual says that it should be priming at full speed when turned on for the first time. I checked the shaft and it turns fine, no obstructions.

Am I missing something?

Manual states to press the START button. I assume you did that.

I would not run the Factory Default schedule once you get things running. Really high RPM for a long time.

My V-Green 165 Primes at 2600 RPM for 3 minutes, not full RPM. (Also stated in the manual, Section 7 "Priming".) I do not have the 270 Interface, so I cannot change the Prime settings. After power is first applied, the Green Power LED is steady. After START button is pressed, that LED is steady Green. Is your power supply 240V or 120V? ;)

Its 240V. When you say "START" button, are you referring to the button with the green ring around it? I did press that one which the manual says puts it in "override" mode but still nothing.

First, be advised, I am not one of the experts. I was just commenting that my motor does not prime full speed, and does not automatically start when power is first applied. You have to press the START button. Exception is if the motor was ALREADY started, power is lost, power gets restored, then it will start on it's own. And to remind you of the voltage requirement... :)

Control panel, Owner's Manual Navigation Overview

EDIT: Mine is 4 years old, possible the control panel is different. Better advice could come from more knowledgeable members.

OK, you have the VGreen Evo 1.65 which has a different control panel from the VGreen 1.65 motor. Probably should add that to your title to avoid any confusion.

Based on the Installation Manual under Override Mode, once engaged the light should blink. If yours isn't doing that then you might have a faulty unit.

Maybe you could inspect and reseat the UI Button Connector? Could you also take a picture with the cover off as that could be useful to us.

ok...it's been a couple hours and I went out to take a photo and check the button connector and it's running! I guess I should have just waited it out :)

Another question since I'm afraid to turn it off now LOL...according to the manual, I need to shut off the power and restart to reset the mechanical internal clock to be the start time of the program?

Any suggestions on the most efficient Schedule to run?
