Hayward Aquarite not Generating Chlorine

Could be the thermistor. Take the front cover off and it is a large black wafer the size of a quarter located on the upper right side of the main circuit board. If it looks like it is flaking apart, it might be bad. The part is cheap and if you have any soldering skills, it is an easy fix.View attachment 446198
Hi. My aquarite Hayward t 15 isnt showing salt levels.. instant reading or otherwise. Temperature seems to be showing, at 23 Celsius (I think) currently, which relates to the reading on my heater, 73 degrees f.
I have checked the thermistor.. it's not chalky, or broken but the connectors to the board are ... rusty? I'll try to provide picture.
If the temperature is accurate.. can the thermistor still be the problem?
Thanks.

The thermistor, in spite of its name, does not affect the temperature reading. It has a different purpose in the electrical circuitry.

Yes, the thermistor can be the problem.

Show us what the back of the board looks like.

Those solder connections on the thermistor look a bit funky. I would put a new thermistor in, they are only a few bucks and you can get it on Amazon,

Thanks ajw22. I'll open it up and check the back.

Thanks Johnnydot. I'll check the back of it. I'll likely change it out cause of the funkiness. I had changed it once before, but I recall different issues. Could be my memory.

Here is the other side of the board. I'm going to pick up another thermistor and try a new one on the board. Crossing fingers.
