Another Build in DFW

Rebar got done today. They told it would be quick to Gunite then slow down dramatically.

They said the rebar was supposed to be 8 inch on center but I am measureing 10. Not a big deal I am sure but....20220903_191536.jpg

Looks nice.
I would ask for them to place additional spacers under the rebar to ensure consistent thickness of the shell and that the rebar is in the middle. Should be 3 inch below and 3 inches above.
You may want to post the list of equipment you plan to install and get feedback on any specs.
Will they be installling 2 inch hard pipe PVC on your suctions? Will your skimmers be independently plumbed?

Thanks for the info.
Like that you have a large cartridge filter and the IntelliFlo pump is great.
How will you chlorinate your pool?
Do you wish to have your water feature function when you are in Spa Mode (using spa). If so, you may need to have a second pump to run those water features Because they only have suction from the pool and return water to the pool. Need to have that sorted prior to gunite time as extra plumbing is needed.

Yeah, I was going with one pump but changed my mind and I am now going with two. I also have a salt water generator

Thanks for the pictures. It is hard to tell where the main drain plumbing is going. Is it connected to the skimmer on the right or is it a separate line that will go back to the equipment pad?

Those side drains on that far wall are for your water feature pump suction.

They are going to the pad. Weird because I do not see any pipes actually at the pad.

How many lights are you planning to have? Make sure they are positioned so they shine away from house and seating area. Do you have only 1 skimmer? I would definitely want two - just works better to keep pool clean. Other than that hard to tell much from the pics at this point. Make sure that pad is exactly where you want it... if you want it somewhere else - now is the time before they pour the pad...

Three lights plus the spa light, Yes, 2 skimmers.

Just finished filling the pool for the first time yesterday. We have freeze warnings in the DFW area for the next two days and the startup crew to turn on the equipment said that cannot make it until Wednesday.

I am worried about two things 1. The plaster (Pebblesheen) - Will this have an adverse effect on my plaster and will I have warranty issues? 2. Will I have issues with my pipes without circulating the water?
