So my pool started to grow some algae. I suspect it is my salt cell. My salt levels read low despite third party testing that it is sufficient and it sometimes stops generating chlorine. I just upgraded my automation system to Jandy iAqualink so I think I would rather at this time switch to a Jandy SWG so that I can get better integration and be able to check salinity from my phone. My question is how hard is it to switch to a different brand? Are the salt cells between different brands the exact same size so it will be as simple as exchanging the cells out and connecting the new chlorine generator to my power center?

I have an Hayward AquaRite. I'm trying to DIY as much as possible because the last quote I got from a guy to upgrade my iAquaLink gave me a quote of $1800 when the iAquaLink was only about $1000. So $800 labor. It was so easy to change. I did it myself in like an hour and he wanted to charge me $800 for that. So just trying to gauge how easy it is to change SWG brands. I have no experience with PVC work though.

Which of the three Jandy SWGs do you intend to get? Aquapure? TruClear? They have different size cells.

Thank you for such quick responses. I currently have a Hayward T-Cell 15 which is rated for 40,000 gallons but my pool is only about 12,000. I was looking at AquaPure but I didn't know there was another line called TruClear.

The Aquapure 1400 is equal to your T-15 cell.
In my opinion the Aquapure is a higher quality system then the TruClear.
