Hello, we have a new 950VS with the Omnilogic automation system. All was working fine until we had a power outage. When the power came on the VS950 was no longer being recognized by the Omnilogic. The Hayward Unique Address (HUA) of the pump is not transmitting to the control unit.
I can control the pump manually from the controls on the pump. Although the time is incorrect and I cannot get into the Configuration Menu on the pumps small screen, it says it's locked.

Pic 1= Omnilogic config when attempting to add pump

Pic 2= where the pump comm connection is on the Omnilogic panel

Pic 3= the pump, the black, yellow, and bare are the comm connection wires going to the Omnilogic panel.

ANY help with this would be appreciated. Hayward had not been any help.

Have you powered down the OL since the outage? If not, I would power down, leave it off 5 minutes, then restart. May unlock your system

Omni/VS Pump HUA Not Visible to the Omni Control[edit]

Hayward has seen some instances where the HUA from a Gen 3 VS pump was not visible to the Omni control.

These instances have occurred after:
  • A power brownout
  • The pump was installed with incorrect dipswitch position and the dipswitch was moved while power to the pump was still on.
Once Power was restored, or the pump powered down and back up the HUA would not populate into the control.

Solution that Hayward found is that power needs to be turned off to the pump for a MINIMUM of 5 minutes and as much as 15 minutes to allow the drive to reset. Once power is restored the HUA was visible to the Omni and the pump worked normally.

Thnx for the manual link. I can control the pump from the pump's panel but I need to be able to control the pump from the Omnilogic if not the Omnilogic is almost useless.

At least you can set speeds and run the pump until you figure out the Omnilogic issue.

Please fill out your signature with specifics about your pool, pool equipmemt (including model numbers) and your test kit. What you show now is way too generic to know what you are working with.
