The spa light is not working and believe I need to replace. At this point, I've gotten it out of the spa, but can't get the whole cable to come out. While trying to figure that out, I want to disconnect it from the control panel to make sure no electricity is flowing through it. It's wired to AUX 5. Can I just unplug the red/black wire connector under the control panel (Photo #1 - yellow highlight)? Or do I need to disconnect something relays below the panel (Photo #1 - red highlight)?

Are you sure the light is wired directly into the panel and does not connect through a pool light junction box near the pool?
You should shut the breakers off just to be safe. Even if the light won’t get powered unless the relay is activated. Are you pulling a whole new light fixture? If so you most likely need to find the junction box.(most pools have them). It will be pulled from spa to junction box from there to pool equipment. If the light fixture looks good you could replace bulb and gasket.

All breakers are off. I want/need to get the pool circulating again hence the need to by-pass (safely) the light. I think you are taking an unnecessary step. What’s the game plan? Why remove it and not replace it right away? Are you going to tie off on the old cord or are you going to use fish tape? Did you already cut the cable? The junction box is usually between the pool/spa and equipment the shortest cost effective way. Sometimes it’s run directly to panel if it’s under 50ft. I would look for that junction first if you need to wait a week disconnect and cap at junction box.
Actually from second glance of your panel it does look like your lights may have been directly to. Can you give a better pic of the bottom of the panel?

The panel is approximately 60' from the spa. Yes, I plan on tying a string on before pulling the light & cable out. No, nothing has been cut yet. Yes, all circuit breakers are off.
Goal is to get the pool running again, now/today, before the algae takes over. Then tackle the light another day. I don't want to turn it on until the light is disconnected. I have a young grandson that constantly wants to put his feet & hands in the pool.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think on the 2nd picture all blue lines are connected to pool equipment (heater, main pump, booster pump, etc.). The red lines are the main electricity coming and the yellow lines are the conduit to the pool and spa light. The left one has a black wire coming out and the right one has a tan wire coming out.

It’s impossible to tell from the conduits alone. I would need a pic of the wires correlating with conduits. But I would guess the red is most likely your lights tied into a gfci(the gang box is most likely used as junction)If it is you can trip the gfci and leave the lights untouched until you are ready to pull. The lights won’t have power unless someone engages the relay. Or you can confirm red conduits are your lights open gang box and cap.
