We really enjoy the rug we have under our primary chairs by the pool.

I just bought this today. Its more than enough for me n baby girl to relax on while we bond. I am excited to get it put together. It's been bitter sweet for me. I think I'll cry when I get to swim in it for the first time. He was supposed to be here with me to enjoy it and watch her play. 😭 I can't help but tear up when I think about all I have, after all we've been through n now I'm here by myself. It's absolutely heart breaking at times. I don't know how I'm getting through it but I am. I guess it's a little therapy shopping. I know I've posted these loungers before. Just adding them. I fixed up the front porch a little too. I think I need a nice colorful rug under the table n sitting areas.
Since We don’t have the care emoji …

I just caught up with your build thread. I think I might of missed a big chunk of something devastating. I'm not sure what happened, but I'm sending enormous love through the internet to you and your family.

My husband passed away on 12/15/21 after getting covid end of November beginning of December. It was horrible and I did not get to see him once he entered the hospital. The day we vented him, he passed away 40 minutes after. A lot of members here did not get the update as I did not post it but Kirk did in the covid vaccination thread and then it was shut down.

I got my new rug the other day. I was looking at the box n wondering what I had ordered? they have my rug all nicely folded in a little carrying case in a HUGE BOX! I started laughing n wondering if Amazon ran out of smaller boxes. It made me laugh.

Anyways. I've been thinking landscaping since last May. Even more so since the pool hit its final resting spot. I was at the store last week and saw these big red planters that spoke to me. I walked away from them. I didnt want to impulse buy at the time. I kept thinking about them though. I had to run to Lowes yesterday for the big heavy duty trash bags I use around the house. I can throw those off the back porch of the house and they dont bust open. LOL I saw Giant Elephant Ear bulbs. I bought 2 of them because I wanted to put them in the big planters. I ended up buying the red planters. I want to put them at the corners of the decking in the shallow end of the pool. Jimmy loved red n I bought them for him as a memory. The elephant ears represent how big he was in this world. Not sure if I should buy miracle grow n do 50%-50% dirt or do all dirt? I'm going to have to research that a bit. Maybe someone here knows? I'm also tinkering with seedlings. I have lil black eyed Susan's n balloon flowers that just emerged. I have them in my bay window. I moved my aloe to make room to set up my growing ledge. That aloe was a little thing 2 years ago. I bought it soon after we moved in here because I get so much light from that bay window. I can not believe how big the thing got!!!😳

I have to call my concrete guy next week to get a quote on the concrete steps.

They do it to fill gaps between the other boxes along the route that day. If everything is tightly packed there is less breakage and no time needed securing anything. But yeah. Somedays it's hysterical to open up a ginormous box for a pack of pencils.

I just sat her in the bay window which gets morning sun and she and the other plants literally exploded with growth. I water them all once a week because they use up all their water. I'll look back in my pics to find one of them a year ago. The growth is out of this world. I attached a pic of my big box with my folded up rug too.

Casey, I’m just now seeing this as I haven’t been on here in a while (mental health is a chore, ugh) and I am so sorry for your loss. Sending all my love and prayers your way. Just know he’s always with you. ❤️❤️ *hugs*

LOVE!!!! And what a beautiful mountain view! I’m jealous. 😊
I love staring out the big window into the great wide open n just think... about life. Ya know? I'm getting through and I thank you for your thoughts. I'm going through such feelings n pangs of lonliness right now n I can't shake it. I'm hoping time will help it.

I love the big pots. I had three then I cracked one, but they are great for prettying up a concrete deck.

Your sunflowers should be a lot of fun. In years past I've enjoyed watching them grow, watching the gold finches hand upside down on them, then watching them come up from seed in the original and other locations in later years. My initial batch turned us into the sunflower house a few years later. But they also do create some end of season garden waste. I have a place to put those types of cuttings but if you don't, the more perennials (or reseeding annuals like those) you have can cause a run to the local compost heap.

They started sprouting already. My Black Eyed Susans are coming up too. The Balloon Flowers have yet to sprout. I'm going to give the Balloon Flowers another week or 2 to do their thing and if they don't, I'll start another flower. The Black Eyed Susans and Balloon flowers are 2 year old seeds. Wasn't even sure they'd sprout but I kept the packages dry.

The red pots I bought are actually plastic. I figured I'd give them a try. I bought a load of sifted top soil for landscaping n planting. Most of the ground in the pool area is clay so I'll be using it when I do plant. I just didnt have enough topsoil for final regrade. I'm actually surprised i didnt have dirt left. I've got a nice burn pit I built hubby right before the pool was built. I can burn the dried up stalks from the sunflowers when fall comes.

Last week or so has been rough for me n I'm pushing through it. I'm ready for summer but were getting a March storm coming in tonight. The news said up to 6" by morning. Hopefully it'll be the last of Old Man Winter. I'm ready to enjoy nice weather.
